Third Social Media Summit Set for Oct. 17
The third-annual Hawaii Social Media Summit, presented by Technology News Bytes and Hawaii Pacific Entertainment, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Neil S. Blaisdell Center.
Like last year, the summit will be held in conjunction with HPE’s “Technology Expo,” described as one of the largest technology expos in the state.
The headliners at the summit will be self-proclaimed “LinkedIn Rockstars” Mike O’Neil and Lori Ruff, authors of “Rock The World With Your Online Presence.” The pair previously headlined the Social Media Seminar in April. Other scheduled speakers include Susan Tenby, online community director at TechSoup.org and Nonprofit Commons in Second Life, and Kimanzi Contstable, blogger and ebook author.
Local presenters include Yancey Unequivocally of Empowered Presentations and Tara Coomans of Akamai Marketing. The event will also offer a “content camp” track featuring presenters like John Garcia, Toby Tamaye, Catherine Toth, Gene Park, and Melissa Chang.
Organizers are still accepting speaker applications through Friday, Aug. 31.
Tickets to the summit cost $100 (plus a $6.49 processing fee) and are available online.
